So, I’ve decided to expand my horizons on reviews and feedback and am going to start adding movies here on the blog. Never fear, I’m still posting book reviews on saturdays as those are my main focus, just thought I’d throw these in for fun.
Well, this past weekend I went to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Let me tell you, I liked the sequel a ton more than the first one. Not to say that the first one was bad at all, but I just liked this one more for some reason.
One of my favorite aspects was the exploration of Natasha and Steve’s relationship. They’ve got such a cool friendship, always got each other’s backs even if it means being incredibly outside their comfort zone (i.e. random public displays of affection :P).
Throughout the whole movie you never really get to stop. The beginning is all “Cool, it’s another action movie. Yay, they rescue some people.” But then, then you get to the good part, the part where the questions start coming. A good storyline always draws your viewers/readers in with the questions: why is this happening? Who wants him dead? What, did that really just happen?
As always, the people at Marvel did a fantastic job, and I highly recommend this particular flick. Well worth the money.
