You’d think with a TBR eight miles long, I wouldn’t go looking for more books to add to it. But with the creation of this list, I probably added about 20…. I think I have a problem. Anyways, that is besides the point. I would like to welcome you to a roundup of several books I am very excited to see released in the coming year. Most people are all about New Years resolutions, but very few rarely keep them. I might make a resolution about something like “finishing my TBR”, but we all know I’d fail at that anytime, anyday (#bookwormprobs). Before I get off track again, let’s move on to the list!
Inkmistress by Audrey Coulthurst

I love the different take on magic here, anything that goes outside the normal “spells and incantations” type of magic always intrigues me.

I first was interested because I’ve read Nijkamp’s work before. You can read my review of her book This is How it Ends here. I also really would like to know exactly what’s going on in this creepy town.

I’m all for a male protag, as I feel a lot of YA has a female MC. Plus I liked the premise, so I’m interested to read this thriller.
The Last Girl on Earth by Alexandra Blogier

I need more sci-fi in my life. I honestly clicked on this because of the cover (so pretty), but then the concept caught me and now I’m hooked.
As She Fades by Abbi Glines

They were supposed to spend the summer planning for college, for a bright future full of possibility. Together. Instead, Vale spends long days in the hospital, hoping Crawford will awaken from a coma.
Slate Allen, a college friend of Vale’s brother, has been visiting his dying uncle at the same hospital. When he and Vale meet, she can’t deny the flutter of an illicit attraction. She tries to ignore her feelings, but she’s not immune to Slate’s charm. Slowly, they form a cautious friendship.
Then, Crawford wakes up… with no memory of Vale or their relationship. Heartbroken, Vale opts to leave for college and move on with her life. Except now, she’s in Slate’s territory, and their story is about to take a very strange detour.
The premise is similar to stories I’ve read before, but I’m interested to see where this one goes. I also like the cover. I know, judging by the cover. #bookshame. I haven’t read too many contemporaries recently, so maybe this will revive my interest in the genre.
Untitled (Red Queen #4) by Victoria Aveyard
Release Date: 2018
We don’t even have a summary for this book yet but I’m still excited. I need more resolutions for this story, the last book left us on such a cliffhanger. I want Mare to be strong and independent, she is fierce on her own without either brother! I want all the story nowwwwww.
